Election Night Party

Yes for Our Students, the community campaign for the Davis parcel tax renewal (Measure C) will hold an election night party on Tuesday, March 6, at the home of Kim Eichorn at 631 Rutgers Drive.

The party will start at 7 p.m. The polls close at 8 p.m.

Volunteers needed for phone banking. Please help!

Turning out the "yes" votes in Davis is critical to a successful campaign to renew the Davis parcel taxes (now designated as Measure C) that fund quality education programs in our schools.

We believe that reminder calls to those who have not yet voted will ensure that Measure C passes and programs we hold near and dear are preserved.

Join our precinct walking volunteers! We need you!

As part of the plan to win renewal for the parcel taxes (now designated as Measure C) that fund quality programs in our schools, a committee of parents, teachers and experienced campaigners has outlined a very clear strategy to knock on voters' doors also known as "precinct walking."

If we are able to rally 300 volunteer walkers, each walker will only need to knock on approximately 30 doors. We know that 300 is a lot of volunteers, but we know we can do it!

The great news is that most of the voters you will contact are already identified as supporters of the tax. You will simply say hello, show them the ballot and briefly go over the highlights of what the tax will fund. We won't send you out unprepared. As a matter of fact, you will have a brief training, a script to follow and all the materials will be provided.

We will only be walking for two weekends in February. Walking is a critical component of winning the parcel tax renewal election. Walking and phoning in tandem have proven to make the difference in close elections. Thank you in advance for your commitment to keeping our schools exceptional for our kids.
