Dan Wolk hosts "Volunteer-raising Event" on Thurs., Feb 2, 7-9 PM

Date & Time: Thursday, February 2, 2012, 7-9PM

Place: Our House Restaurant at 808 Second Street

There is no charge to attend. Our House will provide hors d’oeuvres and there will be a no host bar.

The purpose of the event is to involve the community in the phone banking and precinct walking efforts for the Yes On C campaign. 

"I am product of Davis schools, and I want to take a bit of time from my city council campaign to focus on this important measure," said Wolk. "As a parent of young children, I want to see programs such as music, science and libraries preserved so that all the children coming up into our schools can benefit from the quality education Davis schools provide." 

The parcel tax renewal campaign is a grassroots, community effort staffed by volunteers - parents, community members and teachers. 

Measure C is a mail-in ballot election with ballots going to Davis voters beginning Feb. 6. The deadline to receive ballots at the Yolo County Elections office in Woodland is March 6.  A ballot collection box will also be available at the Davis Library.
