Many issues were raised in the Sunday op-ed piece against Measure W, but the statistics that really impressed me were those in the brief biography that accompanied the article. It appears to me that Thomas Randall Jr., the author, was on the receiving end of the taxes paid by the Davis community for a number of years as a student in our public schools.

It seems unfair of him to protest now, when it is his turn to help pay the bill for the next generation of Davis schoolchildren. These are difficult economic times, it is true. But Mr. Randall, if we citizens of Davis don't support our schools, then who will?

Vote yes on Measure W.
