Once again we have a chance to step up to the plate and show how much we support our schools. We all moved to Davis because it's a great place to live, raise a family, thrive and retire. It's a great place to live because we all care about our community. And the heart of our community is our schools, by far the best in our region. They are not great by accident. They are great because Davis parents and community members expect them to be great. We demand excellence and we get it. But now our schools need more from us; they need us to put our money where our expectations are. We have supported our schools in the past and we have to continue that support now. We all know the financial situation is bleak. Because they need us more than ever, we need to support Measure W. We need to do it for our children and our grandchildren. A vote for Measure W is a vote for their future.
