"Measure C supporters raise $21K, bring in endorsements"

Measure C supporters raised some $21,240 during the last six months of 2011, according to a campaign disclosure statement filed last week with the Yolo County Elections Office.
During that same period, the committee opposing Measure C reported a $5 contribution and a $100 loan from Thomas Randall Jr.
The reporting period ran from July 1 to Dec. 31, 2011.
Contributions to the Yes For Our Students committee include:
- $5,000 from Coldwell Banker Doug Arnold Real Estate; Jeff and Mary Nicholson.
- $2,000 from Conaway Preservation Group.
- $500 from John and Nancy Jungerman.
- $300 from Jacqueline and Louis Clemens.
- $251 contribution from Don Saylor.
- Contributions from 63 other individuals or couples.
Endorsing Measure C are all five members of the Davis Board of Education: Sheila Allen, Gina Daleiden, Richard Harris, Susan Lovenburg and Tim Taylor; state Sen. Lois Wolk, D-Davis; Assemblywoman Mariko Yamada, D-Davis; Yolo County Supervisors Jim Provenza and Don Saylor; and all five members of the Davis City Council: Joe Krovoza, Rochelle Swanson, Sue Greenwald, Stephen Souza and Dan Wolk.
Organizations endorsing Measure C include all school PTAs, the Davis Schools Foundation, the Davis High School Blue & White Foundation, the Davis Teachers Association Rep Council, the California School Employees Association Chapter 572, the Da Vinci Charter Academy Booster Club, Davis Schools Orchestral Music Association, Davis High Band Boosters, Davis High Madrigals, Davis High Jazz Choir, Emerson Junior High Band Boosters, Harper Junior High Band Boosters, NewStar Chinese School, Davis Downtown Business Association and the Davis Democratic Club.
